Airbrush Tan & EyeLash Extensions TIPS:
(Training at bottom of page)Airbrush Tan: Before:
-Shave or wax unwanted hair: If Shaving do that the day before (to
prevent minor spotting). Facial waxing the day of appointment is fine. Do not schedule a waxing
appointment while you have your airbrush tan, as waxing will pull off the tan.
-Exfoliate your entire body: with exfoliating gloves, loofa or washcloth and with
oil-free sugar or salt scrub. This should be done the day before or the day of
your appointment. (If your scrub has oil in it, just exfoliate the day before
your tan.) Make sure to towel dry off well after your exfoliating shower
to get all the last dead skins cells off.
-Do not wear any face, body lotions or perfume to your appointment. Light
makeup is fine. (the tan on your face will not last as long as the rest of
your body and as we shed these skin cells more frequently.)
AFTER:
-Wear loose fitting clothing
and slip on shoes.
-Do not shower, get wet in any
way, workout, or sweat for 8 hours after your tan. Then take warm showers
not hot and soap in just private areas (hot showers and soap will make tan fade
faster) if you do want to use body wash make sure it says moisturizing or
hydrating, no oils or scrubs.
- Loosen bra straps or no wearing a bra for at least 2 hours after your
tan. You will be able to get back into regular clothing after about 2 hours if
needed. (but no wearing jeans till after your 1st shower) Some of the tanning
solution may get onto your clothing or sheets but do not worry it will come out
of most fabrics
-Moisturize: In order to get the best results
from a tan, having it last longer is to evenly moisturize twice a day with a
thick cream lotion that is water or aloe base not oil base. Lotion with shea
butter is best. I have lotion you can purchase.
-Sunscreen: airbrush tan will
still allow you to get a real tan and burn. Please wear sunscreen. Best
sunscreen to use with an airbrush tan, look for waterproof and broad spectrum
and make sure its lotion based not the spray can type, as those one have oil in
them.
-Pedicures: (Not for 24 hours)
If you do get a pedicure while you have an airbrush tan please do not allow
them to use any scrubs (this will scrub off your tan) or Oils on your legs and
feet. If is perfectly fine to get all other parts of the pedi including the
massage.
-Flaws: if you follow the pre
tan prep steps above flaws are rare, but if a particular part of your body is
oily or drier those areas can make the airbrush tan look lighter or darker. To
prevent this start maintaining
a routine of proper skin case on a daily basis: cleansing, exfoliating and
moisturizing.
*Average Airbrush
Tan last 5-7 days
Rapid/Express Solution Airbrush Tan Tips:
Must
shower/ rinse off by hour 4. (no shaving, body wash or shampooing, just a fast
rinse off) and no lotion till after 8 hours. It’s recommended for an even tan,
not optional.
Rinse off
times:
Light Tan 1 hour, Medium
Tan 2 hours, Dark Tan 3 hours, Extra Dark 4 hours.
You
will not see full color after the initial rinse off, as it takes 8-10 hours to
fully develop. Some say they feel darker on day 2.
Eyelash Extensions Tips :
Daily Care:
-Resist: steam on face (cover eyes if getting a
facial with a steam machine), excessively rub your eyes / pull on lashes. Avoid
touching lash extension, especially at base. Natural oils from your hands will
break down adhesive bond. Avoid shower water directly hitting lashes.
-Take off
all traces of makeup every night & wash lashes after exercise.
-Thoroughly
wash your lash-line daily to clean off
oil & makeup. Use Oil-free cleaners
on lashes and rinse with water at night & blotting paper for excess
oil on face during day (If you have a favorite face wash,
check the ingredients. Some oil free cleansers still show mineral oils in
them) & Gently pat dry lashes after cleansing (I have lash cleanser you can purchase)
-Avoid
waterproof and hard to remove eye makeup products (eyeliners...pencils,
liquids and gels liners contains oils. Those can make your extensions fall out
quicker... a good trick if you love eyeliner is use eye shadow as liner, you
can dip it in a little water for a more define look
-Brush lashes with mascara wand twice daily: Gently
roll the brush over lashes with eyes closed to detangle. Open eyes and adjust
lashes with brush
-Be cautions
with hair shampoo & conditioner not dripping onto your lashes, as it
contains oils. Lean head back in shower to avoid shampoo & conditioner on
lashes
-Saline solution :great way to
clean lashes after exercising, it gets dirt
& oil off lashes.
(-Always start your appointment w/ squeaky-clean
eyelashes / no makeup)
-Natural
Lash Shedding-Excessive rubbing-Exposure to heat or steaming too frequently-Improper
care, not cleaning daily-Use of oily products or makeup remover directly on
eyelashes & using mascara (eyelash extensions cleaners is fine to use
directly on lashes)
- Eyelash Extension Mascara: (if you like adding mascara to your lash
extensions please let me know I have a formulated mascara you can use on lash
extensions. It’s smudge free mascara, does not clump, designed to separate &
lengthen.
- Lash Shedding/ Your
natural lashes have an approximate 100 day life span. When a natural lash
sheds, it is replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. A re-lash is
recommended to replace any lost extensions due to your natural life cycle.
The average person has close to 75-200 lashes per upper eyelid that
grow in cycles... short, medium and long. I aim to place extension on
all possible lashes during full set or fill appt. Each eye
will naturally shed 2-5 lashes per day. So if you break it down averaging 3
lashes per day it will look like this: In 1 week you will lose 21, 2 weeks you
will lose 42 and 3 week lose 63 so Fills recommend every 2-3 weeks.
